Stacey has been part of GBCS since 2008, helping shape its student-centered, community-driven approach.  In addition to teaching English at GBCS, she also served as the yearbook advisor and prom coordinator for many years. Outside of school, she enjoys walking with her two dogs, Baisley and Cody, reading, going to the beach, and spending time with her two daughters and her significant other, Doug. Among staff and students, she’s known for her dedication, passion to express one’s individuality, and commitment to fostering a family-like environment. Her favorite thing about GBCS is the strong sense of community and the way everyone comes together to support one another.

Serving as Assistant Director and Lead Teacher for grades 7–12 in Science and Math, Lisa brings enthusiasm, experience, and a deep love of learning to GBCS. She holds a B.S. in Plastics Engineering from UMass Lowell and is currently pursuing her M.A. in Educational Leadership from SNHU. Before joining GBCS in 2008, Lisa spent 40 years in the hospitality industry (including a brief adventure as a restaurant owner) and over 30 years as a group fitness instructor. She leads Ski Club, Math Club, RC Club, and Yoga Club, combining her passion for activity, curiosity, and connection. Among staff, she’s affectionately known as the “cruise director,” and among students, the “school mom.” Her favorite thing about GBCS is its small, close-knit community that feels like family and allows for meaningful, lasting relationships.

Kari brings extensive experience in special education, student advocacy, and leadership to GBCS. She has held roles as Director of Student Services, Director of Continuing Education, Assistant Director/Out of District Coordinator, and special educator, giving her a wealth of experience supporting students of all needs. Known among staff as the “Boho Hippie,” and among students as “H-B,” and fidget giver, she brings a touch of whimsy to every interaction. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and their seven children, attending concerts, playing piano, and a bit of ukulele, gardening, boating, riding, and scootering. Her favorite thing about GBCS is the environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and unwavering support for students, families, and staff alike.

Lindsay brings both business savvy and big-hearted teaching energy to GBCS. She spent seven years teaching special education, 1st, and 2nd grade at Newmarket Elementary School. After taking time to stay home and raise her two children, she returned to the classroom with renewed passion and purpose. At GBCS, she has taught both special education and the 3/4 classroom, always fostering warmth, curiosity, and confidence in her students. She loves children’s literature (especially reading aloud with voices!), and believes books are the best doorway to imagination and connection. When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find her traveling, exploring new places, or enjoying time with her family.

Debbie brings over 20 years of teaching experience to Great Bay Charter School, where she joyfully blends music, literacy, and creativity in the classroom. Debbie has taught in a variety of school settings across New Hampshire, giving her a rich perspective on how students learn and thrive. She is a passionate advocate for arts integration and leads the Performing Arts Club, often sharing her love of singing, guitar, and theatre with students. Before teaching, Debbie also spent over a decade in staffing and personnel consulting, a background that strengthens her ability to connect with and support every learner. Her favorite thing about GBCS is the individualized attention each student receives—something she believes makes the school feel like a true learning community.

Anna’s enthusiasm for numbers and hands-on learning is hard to miss. Before joining the staff at GBCS, Anna taught grades K, 2, 4, and 5. Anna leads the STEAM/Robotics Club and is known for her sweet, bubbly energy and her mission to make learning both joyful and a little bit silly. When she’s not in the classroom, you’ll likely find her running, reading on the beach, making bracelets, or at Orange Theory. Among staff, she’s known for being either cheerfully smiling or on the verge of happy tears—sometimes both at once. Her favorite thing about GBCS is how students are encouraged to be their true selves while learning in ways that honor how their brains work best.

Katy is the Lower School Lead Teacher, and infuses energy, expertise, and a love of history into every lesson. Before joining GBCS, she taught 6th and 7th grade social studies at David R. Cawley Middle School for five years. An avid boater, nature identifier, horseback rider, and traveler, Katy also enjoys spending time with her daughters, cooking, and baking. At school, she leads History Club, Student Council, and National History Day, and is known for donning a bonnet and Mennonite dress to make history come alive for her students. Among her favorite aspects of GBCS is the freedom to be authentically herself as an educator, which encourages students to do the same. Katy thrives in a student-centered, barrier-breaking environment where creativity, curiosity, and engagement are always at the forefront.

James teaches high school English with a focus on storytelling, critical thinking, and helping students discover their own voice as writers. Before joining GBCS, James taught at Windham High School and Winnacunnet High School. He enjoys reading, playing the drums, building with Legos, and watching movies—basically anything that fuels creativity and curiosity. Among staff, he’s known as the resident “English Expert,” and among students, he’s affectionately (and sometimes accidentally) called “Steve.” His favorite thing about GBCS is that learners have a genuine voice in their education and are encouraged to grow in meaningful ways.

Vicky teaches math to grades 9–12, blending rigor with creativity and a healthy dose of humor. Vicky previously taught at Raymond High School and the Cooperative Middle School. Vicky leads the Snowboarding/Ski Club and Girls on the Run, sharing her love of movement and adventure with students. She’s known among staff and students alike as an Ed Sheeran enthusiast—and also doubles as the unofficial snack dealer. Outside the classroom, Vicky enjoys snowboarding, running, reading, napping, and catching live music. Her favorite thing about GBCS is the freedom to teach creatively while helping students explore and excel in math in their own way.

Mabel teaches high school Social Studies with a passion for storytelling, global perspectives, and bringing history to life. Before joining GBCS, Mabel spent 18 years teaching at Nashua High School North, where she also led student travel experiences abroad. She loves reading historical fiction and traveling—especially World War II history trips with students. Among staff, she’s known as the unofficial “European Tour Guide,” always ready with a recommendation (or a packed itinerary). Her favorite thing about GBCS is the welcoming community where students are free to be themselves and are truly accepted.

Michelle is the Science teacher for grades 8–12 at GBCS, bringing curiosity, expertise, and a love of discovery to every classroom. Before joining GBCS in 2019, Michelle taught for 18 years at Raymond High School and 2 years at Timberlane High School. She enjoys going to the beach, walking in the woods, practicing yoga, and spending time with her husband, two kids, and their cat—plus, she’s always up for a foodie adventure. Michelle is known among staff and students alike as an Aldi fan, a science geek, and a passionate nature lover. Her favorite thing about GBCS is the freedom students have to be themselves and get creative with projects, making every day an opportunity for exploration and learning.

Kelsey offers Student Support for students across grades K–8, bringing a warm, steady presence and a dedication to helping every learner feel understood and capable. Before joining GBCS, Kelsey worked as a Special Education Teacher and Title I Coordinator at another charter school, an experience that deepened her commitment to equitable access and creative problem-solving. She loves traveling, glamping, skiing, hiking, and running—basically anything that gets her outdoors and exploring. Her favorite thing about GBCS is the way students are encouraged to learn in their own style and shine as individuals.

Moses teaches Art for grades 7–12, encouraging students to experiment, take risks, and find meaning in the creative process. He began his teaching journey at Newfound Memorial Middle School as a mentor and substitute teacher/paraprofessional. Moses runs the Art & Social Club and “Movie of the Month,” creating spaces where students can make, discuss, and discover together. Outside of school, he enjoys gardening, composting, history, games, cards, and live music. Among staff and students alike, he’s known as the resourceful “collector” who always has just the right unexpected material for the next big project. Hannah is the K-6 Art Teacher, Yearbook leader & Social Media and marketing Specialist at GBCS, where she brings creativity, color, and curiosity to every project. Hannah has taught art across the Seacoast region—from preschool through middle school—at North Hampton School, Newfields Elementary, and Seacoast Charter School, and even spent time as a design consultant. She loves making art, gardening, interior design, live music, and anything that connects her to Italian culture. Among staff, she’s known for her stories about growing up in a hippie commune; among students, she’s known as a proud “rule follower” who still encourages imaginative, outside-the-box thinking. Her favorite thing about GBCS is the ability to collaborate with a caring, hard-working team.

Ángel teaches Physical Education and Health for grades K–12, bringing high energy and a love for movement to every class. Ángel enjoys spending time outdoors—whether he’s hiking, climbing, skiing, fishing, birding, or tending his garden—and also loves playing guitar or harmonica. He leads the Ski Club and is known among students as “Lopez,” the friendly gym guy often asked, “Can we play dodgeball today?” Among staff, he’s famous for having the most active and spirited classes in the building. His favorite thing about GBCS is the project-based learning approach and the close-knit community it creates.

Margot loves traveling, spending time with family, enjoying the ocean and beach, attending concerts, reading, and exploring new restaurants. She is known among staff and students for her approachable, supportive nature and her ability to connect with everyone she meets. Her favorite thing about GBCS is being part of a community where students feel valued, understood, and empowered to thrive. Margot combines dedication, warmth, and a touch of fun to create a safe and nurturing space for all students.

He holds a BSN from Salem State University and has prior experience at Hillside Middle School and Exeter Hospital. Patrick enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, playing hockey, and talking all things cars. Among staff, he’s known for creating a calm, reassuring environment, and among students, he’s famously associated with two essentials: snacks and ice. He approaches every day with a focus on keeping students healthy, supported, and ready to learn. Patrick’s favorite thing about GBCS is the supportive, small-community feel that allows him the flexibility to truly meet students’ needs and goals.

Students affectionately call her “Wassy” and appreciate her encouragement and respect in the classroom. She takes pride in working with students who are eager to learn and grow. Her favorite thing about GBCS is the collaborative spirit and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in each student’s day.

Shannon Berray is a paraprofessional working with students in grades 3–12, bringing a rich and varied educational background to GBCS. She has taught and supported students across multiple districts and roles, from kindergarten teacher to visual arts specialist. Shannon’s passions include music, writing, photography, nature, holistic wellness, and all things creative expression. Among staff, she’s known for her good humor—and for leaving a trail of fidgets and foam throughout the building. With students, she’s famous for her gentle reminders that water, fresh air, and a little Play-Doh can fix just about anything. Her favorite thing about GBCS is its deep commitment to accepting and nurturing the full range of human experience while creating safe, meaningful spaces for all learners.

Abby brings a unique, full-circle perspective as a proud GBCS graduate herself. Before returning to the school she calls home, she worked full time at a daycare, building strong skills in supporting young learners. Now in her second year on staff, Abby infuses each day with creativity, patience, and a genuine love for helping students succeed. She enjoys collecting Pokémon cards, coloring and drawing, crafting, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. Known to staff as “the former student” and to students as Ms. Sharpie, or simply the Pokémon expert, she connects easily with everyone she works with. Her favorite thing about GBCS is the family-like community and the creative freedom students have to express themselves through meaningful, individualized projects.

Now in her third year at GBCS, Morgan is known among staff for “hallway hurding” and among students as “Ms. Burger.” She enjoys going to the gym, painting, shelling at the beach, and having fun with her Staffy-Pit mix, Cody. Her favorite thing about GBCS is the tight-knit community, where everyone comes together to support each other in both challenges and celebrations. Morgan brings dedication, creativity, and enthusiasm to every day she spends with students and colleagues alike.

Sheryl Sullivan has been the Administrative Assistant at GBCS since the school’s very beginning in 2006, providing support, organization, and a welcoming presence to staff, students, and families alike. She is known among staff as the “heart of the school” and the GOAT for her dedication, reliability, and endless positivity. Sheryl’s friendly demeanor and helpful nature make her a familiar and trusted face to students and visitors. Outside of work, she enjoys working, reading, doing puzzles, and—when she can—sleeping. Her favorite thing about GBCS is being part of a community that feels like family and watching students grow and thrive over the years. Sheryl brings warmth, humor, and a steady hand to everything she does, making the school run smoothly day in and day out.

Peter Stackhouse serves as the Operations Administrator at GBCS, bringing years of leadership, experience, and dedication to the school community. He previously taught science at Exeter High School and biology at GBCS, and served as GBCS’s Executive Director from 2005 to 2025. Peter is known for his steady leadership, problem-solving skills, and deep commitment to the school’s mission. Outside of school, he loves boating and is a devoted New England Patriots fan. Among colleagues and students, he’s known for his often-reserved demeanor — but every so often, he’ll surprise everyone by cracking a joke and flashing a well-earned smile. His favorite thing about GBCS is the strong sense of community and shared commitment to helping every student succeed.
