Funding Gap for Charter Schools
The need for fundraising is reality for New Hampshire Charter Schools and Great Bay Charter School is no exception. With the current funding structure for New Hampshire Charter Schools, we must raise about 35% the annual per pupil cost for each GBCS student.
While each member of our school community is asked and expected to assist in this effort, we have adopted the philosophy that students have a job to do as students for multiple fundraising events. Thoughtful, deliberate fundraising efforts with responsibilities that are shared by the greater community allow us to minimize the impact on students.

Current Fundraisers
Our primary fundraising campaign this year is through the platform GiveButter. However, there are many other ways to support and donate to GBCS. Learn more below.
GiveButter

Please Help Sponsor GBCS Students’ Education as we work together as a community to provide a personalized, interdisciplinary, project-based education and close the financial gap Great Bay Charter School experiences in carrying out our mission. Our goal is to raise $150,000!

Teacher Wishlist

Annual classroom supply budgets often cover only the basic essentials. This wishlist is created by our teachers, and updated regularly with items currently in need, or items that would really enhance students’ learning, but aren’t considered “essential”.
Business Sponsorship

If you are a small or corporate business, or philanthropist individual or organization, please consider donating to support the students in our school.

Scrip Gift Cards

This program allows families to help GBCS by donating money by spending no more than they would spend under regular circumstances. By using retail gift cards purchased through our school, you can purchase your items at your favorite stores spending no more than you would ordinarily spend, and GBCS benefits directly from the sale.
Depending on the retailer we receive from 3% to 17% of the amount of each gift card sold. The retailers are nationally recognized and represent all aspects of consumer products and services. Buying gift cards for family and friends for the holidays? Please purchase them through GBCS and support our school. Make sure to call Wendy Magnusson in the office at 603.519.9003 to get the enrollment code first!
Artsonia

The K-6 Art classes use Artsonia to create digital art portfolios. Through this site, parents are able to purchase keepsakes with their children’s artwork, from which the GBCS art program earns 20% towards purchase of art materials, technology and other classroom supplies. Student Artwork makes fantastic customized gifts and keepsakes!
We are planning to use the funds to purchase supplies, and drawing and art history books for the art room. Thank you for your support!
Additionally, we have several different fundraising events and opportunities throughout the year that serve to both raise money and build community. We will announce these as details are available and ask for your help in planning and participation. Examples include: Holiday Craft Fair, Mini Golf Tournament, GBCS Community Yard Sales, and our Calendar Raffle.
